CORONADO 2010

Over the 4th of July weekend this year we were lucky enough to go spend some time with Mark's family in Coronado. It was a short trip but we had so much fun. Zac loved the beach and playing in the sand. He cried when we had to leave the beach he was having so much fun.
Of course he had to taste the sand just to make sure he didn't like it.
Grandpa thought it was a good idea to bury Zac in the sand. So we decided to make Zac some extra long legs. Shortly after we finished Zac got himself out.
Exhausted taking a much needed nap with Grandma

We were lucky enough to be in Coronado when they did the fireworks in Glorietta Bay. The barge stopped right in front of the Condo so we didn't have to leave. It was so fun watching the fireworks with Zac on the Balcony of the condo with the Ocean crashing in the background.
Monday morning Mark's dad rented a sailboat. We went sailing for about 2 hours in the Glorietta Bay. It was beautiful.

THE ZOO

Finally after many failed attempts (due to weather) of trying to take Zac to the Zoo I was successful. We went to the zoo with my sister Tina and her kids, my mom, and my friend Danica and her girls. It was so much fun to watch Zac take everything in.
Of course we had to see if we all weighed as much as an Elephant. Not even close.

We got to see the new baby Elephant. Zac thought the elephants were pretty cool.

I think the giraffes were his favorite though. They were definately the most active animals while we were there.

We took the kids on the carousel. I wasn't sure how Zac would do. I should have known he would love it. This kid is totally fearless. He was smiling and laughing through the entire ride. I stood by him but he held on all by himself. He is getting independent way too fast.
Zac is as tall as an infant Gorilla.
He also loved the train. He didn't want me to hold him he was determined to sit all by himself. He can be so stubborn at times. Guess he has a little of his mama in him. We will definately be going back to the zoo. Hopefully with Daddy next time.

MEMORIAL DAY

On Memorial Day we wanted to do something fun so we headed up to the B and went 4 wheeling with Marks family. It was such a beautiful day to be in the mountains
Zac Loved every minute of our adventure. He loves riding in the Bronco.

Zac invading Grandpa and Grandma's jeep. Doesn't he look innocent.

Once we reached the top we enjoyed lunch in the beautiful scenery. It was a great day enjoying nature and family.
Afterwards we went to my parents house for BBQ and played games. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I am so grateful that we live so close to both of our families and are able to spend time with them.

PLAYING AT THE PARK

Now that the weather is finally getting warmer we have been able to venture outside most days. Zac and I have been going to the park a lot lately since there is so much for him to discover there. He found a stick and was digging in the rocks and piling them onto the curb for about 45 minutes one day. It was so cute to see how entertained he was by this.

Zac and Logan "flying" these 2 boys are going to be great friends.
Checking out the slide. A little girl at the park showed the boys that if you dropped the rocks on the slide they made a cool sound. As you can tell Zac was totally into it.

GIRLS NIGHT

A few weekends ago my mom, sister, niece, and I had a girls night out. We went to dinner and then headed into Salt Lake to see my brothers Young Ambassador performance at the Conference Center.
Brad and Kate - they did great as always.
Us girls (Tina, Shyann, Me, & Mom)
Dinner at Rumbi - it was delicious
It was fun to get to spend some quality time with just the girls. We definately need to do it more often.

WEEKEND GETAWAY

This past weekend Mark and I decided to run away to St. George for the weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect. We got up on Saturday and went to breakfast at the Bear Paw Cafe. It was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. We then hung out a the house for awhile and took a much needed afternoon nap. After our nap we rode our bikes up Snow Canyon. It was a beautiful bike ride and we can't wait to do it again. Daddy and Zac wearing Mommy's helmet at the top of Snow Canyon

Looking back over the trail we just came up.
Zac and daddy enjoying the pool after our bike ride. We had a great time relaxing and spending time as a family. Thanks to Mark's parents for letting us use their house in St. George.

SWIMMING WITH GRANDMA

I am really behind on my blogging lately. I will be catching up over the next few days so be prepared for a lot of pictures to come. A few weeks ago we went to the Clearfield Aquatic Center with my mom, sister and her kids. Zac missed his nap so he was a little grumpy as seen in the picture below. My beautiful mama (she is going to kill me for posting this picture) and Zac. Doesn't my mom look amazing. Love her.

All 3 kids wrapped up in their towels after swimming. Can't wait for summer. It was fun to enjoy some pool time with my family.
